Following the release of singles "Way Out," "Drunk," and "Hit Me Back," featuring GRAMMY-nominated duo Social House, Conor Matthews has dropped his Heartbreak in the Hills EP just in time to commemorate his first year on Altadena/Warner Records. Social House also joined Conor in a cinematic new video for "Hit Me Back".

Heartbreak in the Hills is a reflection of Conor's own lived experiences, after a breakup from a toxic three-year relationship. "Half of my heart was bleeding," he recalls, "but the other half was LIT." The EP is a narrative of his new life in Los Angeles.

I wanted to showcase the parts of a breakup that can be exciting and fun, because you’re casting off weights you didn’t know you had and embracing life to the fullest meeting new people, new friends, and lots of new experiences.

Conor's sizzling signature style is embodied throughout the EP, with sonic integrations of woozy melodies, fluttering runs, slick bass lines, and airy beats. Pop and R&B come together effortlessly in this body of work that echoes the vibes of artists like Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars, and Chris Brown.

In need of a breather from being cooped up at home? Buckle up and hit play on Heartbreak in the Hills and enjoy a drive set to the perfect soundtrack for the summer.
