Get Up! NewJeans’ Sophomore EP Featuring 6 Brand-New Tracks Is Here!

Attention Bunnies! Get Up! NewJeans’ has just dropped their sophomore EP consisting of six tracks and we are in love with all of them.
Ahead of their second EP release, the quintet released two songs, “New Jeans” (the prologue track) and “Super Shy”, one of the three title tracks. With their infectious melodies and engaging lyrics, both tracks stand out as catchy gems in their own right.
In a collaboration with Discovery's Cartoon Network, the band's prologue track takes on a playful twist as the members are transformed into animated versions resembling the iconic Powerpuff Girls, commemorating the 25th anniversary of the beloved series. “Super Shy,” following on that same wave, infuses their bright vocals with the upbeat tempo which resembles the likes of the powerpuff girls theme song - apparently they have the same backbeat! Super cool huh?
As fans were eager to find out more about the EP, New Jeans released two more cinematic masterpieces and tracks off ‘Get Up’. The music videos for “Cool With You” consists of two parts ‘Side A’ and ‘Side B’, similar to the concept that they have done for their song “Ditto”. Both videos feature popular South-Korean actress, Jung Ho Yeon (Squid Game), and “Side B” even includes a special appearance by veteran Hong-Kong actor, Tony Leung. Along with their new track “Get Up,” a soulful ballad that showcases a different side of their artistry, we’re in for a treat.
On the EP release day, the band partnered with Apple to deliver the music video for “ETA,” shot entirely on the iPhone 14. The visuals capture a story of friendship as the girls call their friend to reveal her boyfriend’s unfaithful ways. And let’s not forget the full version of “ASAP,” which I have been eagerly waiting for! The addictive hook “Just for a minute” has been on repeat in my mind and now I can sing along to my hearts’ content.
The excitement doesn’t stop there! NewJeans is also set to perform at the Lollapalooza stage, making them the first K-Pop girl group in history ever to do so. We are absolutely ecstatic for them and cannot wait to see them achieve greater heights. In the meantime, ‘Get Up’ is available to stream on all music streaming platforms!
