Chloe Stroll Asks The Bold Question: "Why Do We Love In Extremes?"

Singer-Songwriter Chloe Stroll drops her brand new single, “Extremes.” Her latest track takes us on a journey with the multitude of emotions we can feel with love. To learn more about this new hit we spoke with Chloe and found out a little more about this enchanting songstress.

Hello, Chloe! Thank you so much for taking the time to speak with us! You’re releasing your single, “Extremes” today (April 12th). When you first heard the final mix and master of the record, what was your reaction?

I was really blown away. It’s always so fun to go through the writing and recording process and then to hear the final version. “Extremes” is a song that explores emotions of love and passion, and I think the sound of the record really embodies those strong emotions, so it was really cool to hear it all done.

I love how the heart of the chorus is a question, “Why do we love in extremes?” Through writing the song do you think you’ve come closer to finding out the answer or are you left with more questions?

Creating the song was a cathartic experience for me.  However, I believe it is ultimately up to each listener to figure the answer out for themselves, but I do hope my song helps them get to a place where they feel they are able to.

I want to revisit one of your earlier tracks, “Pedestal” which you beautifully performed on “The Kelly Clarkson Show.” It’s an extremely personal song that has a relatable message. For those who are currently dealing with a heartbreak after putting someone on a pedestal, what’s one step you recommend they take on their healing journey?

“Pedestal” was the second song I released and as you mentioned, it’s a raw, emotional song that takes you on a journey of heartbreak. It’s devastating when someone you hold in such high regard breaks your heart, so just make sure you give yourself time to process and take it day by day. I think the biggest step to healing is to not be so hard on yourself and to give yourself grace.

I peeked at your Instagram and it looks like you’ll be in London soon! What are you looking forward to performing in such an iconic city?

Yes, I had my first international performance in London this week and it reminded me how fortunate I am to live my dream! London is also one of my favorite cities, and having my friends and family in the audience was a dream come true. It’s a moment I’ve been looking forward to for a long time, and to see their reaction was really special.

As an artist and a songwriter, do you feel pressure from the music industry to constantly be releasing material or is there excitement from releasing creations you feel really passionate about to your audience on a faster timeline versus an album or EP?

I think there is an excitement to it honestly. I’m able to do what I love at my own pace and present myself authentically to the world without any gimmicks. It’s been great to write, record and put songs I believe in out in the world one by one. An EP or album is definitely part of the plan, but I hope people take the time to enjoy what I’ve shared so far.

What’s one thing you’d like to accomplish by the end of the year?

My goal is to continue to release music that I am passionate about and that connects with my fans.  And I am looking forward to adding more live performances to my journey!
