Released on August 8, “Horizon” is Jaehyun's third solo single following hits such as “Forever Only" (2022) and "Try Again" (2017) which is part of NCT LAB where members of the K-pop boyband, NCT, release standalone solo or unit tracks.
Crafted in collaboration with NCT partners DEEZ and producer SoulFish, Jaehyun’s velvety baritone seamlessly intertwines with the lively R&B rhythms of “Horizon.” This breezy, uplifting composition invites listeners to soar through the clouds, unveiling serenity beyond. As he reminisces about the genesis of “Horizon,” Jaehyun reveals drawing inspiration from moments of tranquil stillness.
The music video, which was released alongside the single, beautifully complements this sentiment. Amid the chaos that often surrounds us, the video showcases the resilience of the human spirit, unveiling bursts of vibrant colour against a black-and-white backdrop. The imagery expertly transitions from scenes of monochrome to an airplane in flight, symbolizing Jaehyun’s own journey of finding solace.
