PRETTYMUCH’S Highly Anticipated EP “Smackables” Praised For Fresh, R&B and Mature Vibes
The highly anticipated new release from PRETTYMUCH is finally here, and I am sure that I am not the only one who has it on repeat.
The 3-track collection features brand-new tracks “Free” and “Parking Spot,” plus early fan-favorite “Stars”. Each of the 3 songs on the EP brings its own unique sound, and in its entirety, the EP is solid proof of PRETTYMUCH’s “fresh, R&B and mature vibes,” and has generated buzz amongst the likes of MTV, Popsugar and PEOPLE.
“Stars” the groovy R&B dance tune, has already gathered a whopping 1.5 million streams since its release. The music video has also garnered 615K views thus far. “Parking Spot” has to be my personal favourite on the EP. This song is bound to hit you right in the feels, especially if you have ever had your heart broken. And to make things even better, the band has also debuted a new, funhouse-themed music video for “Parking Spot” directed by Steven Mertens.
Last, but definitely not the least, we have “Free”. This dreamy, soothing tune is best enjoyed with a good pair of ear or headphones and just immersing yourself eyes closed into the song and the gorgeous vocals of the band. Indeed, as the song title suggests, it really feels like you’re setting yourself free.
All in all, I think it is pretty safe to say that the unveiling of “Smackables” clearly marks PRETTYMUCH’s explosive return to the spotlight. It is testament to the growth of the band and the direction in which they want to head in moving forward.
