Sam Haft Unleashes Electrifying EDM Solo Debut Track 'Grow Up'

Sam Haft, notably one half of The Living Tombstone, drops his debut solo Single, “Grow Up” featuring CG5. The track is his introduction to the world in this new adventure, but it doesn’t sound like he’s starting from Level 1.

Grow Up is a song about a fight between a couple who lack the courage to speak the unspoken: their relationship is on borrowed time. It’s composed over a galloping triplet bassline that doesn’t allow the listener to relax. The verse frantically narrates the spiral of tension and trauma.

The dark electronic record takes the listener on an epic, vulnerable narrative about alienation, emotional frustration, and trauma. “You lost your friends. You’re at the end of your rope. There’s nowhere to go. You choke back your tears. You chase your fears” are just some of the gut-punching lyrics over an anthemic electronic sonic dreamscape.

From the moment I wrote this song, I was certain I wanted to feature CG5. It needed a tenor who could sing with an intensity that I know Charlie brings to every song he touches. He’s a pleasure to work with, and may be the only person I know who loves working as much as I do!

The accompanying visual directed by Roxy Shih, perfectly complements and depicts the anguish and frustration we feel in times of heartbreak and depression. The color grading and color story perfectly give a moody vibe and the visual effects and editing created that. cinematic build and rise.

“Grow Up” is slated to be on Sam’s upcoming EP “Bad Times.” With his already impressive performance in music so far, it’s no question why it’s not game over for this Platinum-certified Recording Artist, Writer-Director, and voiceover artist.
